The other night I spent an hour or so at the Gurung household.
I noticed immediately, on my way to the door, a small bust of the Buddha resting in the yard. This was a sure sign of things to come.
Upon entry to the house, the subtle, intermingling of suburban decor and traditional Nepali items filled my senses. Here is what proceeded:

Great job by Elaina for doing project on Neplali Culture. But this is just like a drop in ocean about our culture. Why is the name of Temple? Which god is in that temple by fireplace. Why the god Ghanesh head is Elephant Head? What Buddha teach. Lots of message need to know but I do understand its not possible by merely one visit to our friends home.
